OLD BUSINESS
-
Discussed importance of keeping counter space free so shop users will not have to use tool surfaces (e.g. table saw) as glue, etc. can damage the surfaces, as well as the tools will be free to be used for their intended purpose.
-
To free up counter space, it was recommended that only two lathes be on the counters at a time, storing the other lathe/lathe bed unless demand requires them.
-
A suggestion for additional surface space was asking for the return of the borrowed router table, or making one that would serve the dual purpose.
-
Another suggestion for creating additional space was adding drop leafs to wheeled tables
-
Anytime a user is glueing, etc., it was recommended protection be placed on the counter under the work.
-
Shop users are asked to utilize the dust collection system when appropriate and if it is not drawing properly, check outside to see if the unit is plugged/full.
-
Shop users are reminded to return bits, etc. to their proper storage location instead of leaving them in the machines, e.g. the drill press.
-
The monthly pancake breakfast has returned to the 8:00am start time and will remain until further notice.
NEW BUSINESS
-
Members were reminded that the original waiver form they signed includes language that the member is responsible for guests and a separate “Guest Waiver Form” is only necessary for special events (e.g. pen making).
